Our approach to adaptive leadership and innovation is based on children's rights and their development. We emphasize the design of new intervention strategies based on the rights and development of the child.
This helps us understand the factors that promote or derail healthy development, allowing us to develop interventions that use the concepts of leadership and child rights to address the challenges faced by young children. We embrace innovation as a “different way of working” that brings researchers, practitioners, and community members together to implement, test, and adapt these interventions.
We are working to invest in creating and expanding more efficient best practices for tomorrow. We can and must do better, and an innovation-driven approach can lead the direction.
Our approach is also guided by the theory and fact that we must empower adults to achieve meaningful results for the children in their care. These same abilities also improve adult employability and increase family economic and social stability, further reducing sources of family stress.
We know that developing adults' capacities also improves their abilities to help young children develop effective skills to overcome adversity and build the foundations of resilience. We considere the communities in which families raise children as important contexts for designing and testing, and promoting new strategies aimed at strengthening protective factors and reducing sources of toxic stress that place burdens on parents of young children.
